About

The 22nd Annual Spring Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival is a multi-generational celebration of 'music, dance, art, and education.' Set on 72 bucolic acres in Pittsboro, the 2026 edition features festival founders Donna the Buffalo alongside folk-activists Rising Appalachia and Jamaican reggae artist Lila Iké. Beyond the four stages, the festival is famous for its massive puppet parade, yoga workshops, and 24-hour acoustic jam circles, maintaining a grassroots, non-profit spirit where the community is just as important as the lineup.
